“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Ephesians 4:22-24
August has been the month of NEW!!! We had TWO new ladies join our Sanctified Hope family and we had 7 ladies begin a NEW semester in college (5 of them going to college for the FIRST time!)

Please join us in welcoming Cristie (CiCi) and Donna to the Sanctified Hope family! CiCi loves to cook and create in the kitchen and aspires to be a caterer for events and has a heart for hospitality. Donna loves animals and would love to become a veterinary technician. They have both been a wonderful addition to the family and we are so thankful God brought them to us!

We would like to thank everyone for donating school supplies, backpacks, laptops, and laptop sleeves to our ladies so they can have a successful school year! This community continues to blow us away with your support for us and each one of these Daughters of the King as they restart their lives!

Our ladies had so much fun modeling at the Zonta Style Show and Bags to Go. It was a also a huge surprise and blessing when it was announced that Zonta was blessing them with the outfits they were able to model! Ladies, you look Mah-velous!

We were blessed to attend The Well Church of Aledo this past month. Our ladies were invited to share their testimonies and we had a beautiful time of worship together. It is always such a blessing to enjoy time with the body of Christ. Thank you for your support!

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH!!

Ephesians 4:22-24

NEW. August had so much NEW-ness in it! As you can see in this whole newsletter, we are filled with God’s “NEW” at Sanctified Hope. God brought new ladies into our Sanctified Hope family. He brought our ladies into new seasons of school and He is constantly bringing us new friends to our ministry. All of this “NEW-ness” is occurring because of the continuous “putting off the old self, and being made new” like it says in this verse. This verse above completely describes the sanctification process that happens not only at Sanctified Hope, but to any believer that surrenders their life to the Lord. This happens by taking the time to be made new daily by spending time with Him and being in His Word. This keeps us in God’s will for our lives. When we are in God’s Will for our lives, there is no better place to be…even when we are in a trial season.
I would like to share a bit of a personal testimony with you. In the last year, I have been walking through being diagnosed with several different chronic and autoimmune illnesses. When this happened, it honestly made me question if I needed to step down here at Sanctified Hope as Executive Director. I honestly didn’t know how I was physically going to be a wife, a mom, and an Executive Director with all that I was facing physically. My thoughts were, “I don’t want what is going on with me to effect Sanctified Hope in any way and to take away from what these ladies need. I love them too much and I love this ministry too much.” So I took it to the Lord and asked Him if He wanted me to resign so He could move someone else into my place to lead this ministry. And boy was that a wakeup call and lesson in humility. He said to me, “You silly, prideful little girl. Didn’t I call you to this ministry and this position? It is my ministry and I promise I will not let something like your diagnosis get in the way of my Will for this ministry…or your life, for that matter. All you have to do is stay surrendered to me and I will do it for you.”

So He continues to do NEW things for this ministry. He will send a new person to meet a need that I cannot physically meet out of the blue. He will send a NEW donor for funding before we even know we need it. He will send information for a grant that we had no idea was out there to apply for so I don’t have to spend time searching for one. He is doing “more than I can ask or imagine” when it comes to the role of Executive Director.

Thank you for listening to my personal story. I share so maybe you can be encouraged to see that whatever might look impossible in your life, is ABSOLUTELY possible if you surrender it to the Lord. You can be made new daily in Him, in your mind, in your perspective, even in your struggle. My pastor’s favorite expression is “Struggle Well”. I guess now I know what He means.

Please pray for our ladies, pray for our staff and our ministry! We are praying for you as our supporters, donors and Sanctified Hope community and family.

Serving Him together,
Kim Brewer
